The literal meaning is Ortho– means true or correct and doxa (doxy) means opinion or belief .
The most prominent example is Christianity, particularly Protestant traditions. Orthodoxy is concerned with what people think about God’s word and what is true in the Bible or other holy texts.
Heathenry and the majority of pagan practices are not orthodox. Individuals or groups build their own beliefs, it is normal within our communities to have diverse opinions and experiences with the faith.
